Website Migration
Free migration for cPanel, Plesk and WordPress
On a plan of one year or longer, send us a full cPanel backup and we restore the whole account for free. From Plesk, WordPress or another host, we move one site for free. Anything more gets a quote first.
Free on 1-year plans
cPanel, Plesk and WordPress
A full cPanel backup is restored whole: every site, database and mailbox in it, up to 10 GB. From Plesk or WordPress, we move one site for free. Each additional site is $150. Covers up to 2 hours of our work.
Free review
Everything else
We look at your site first. If it is simple, like a static website, we move one site for free. Each additional site is $150. Custom apps are quoted at the rates of idig.net, our parent brand.
Not supported
Legacy sites
We only move sites that run PHP 7 or newer on a current MySQL or MariaDB. A site on PHP 5 or MySQL 5 is upgraded first through idig.net site repair and rescue.

What a free migration covers
- Free migration needs a hosting plan paid for a term of one year or longer. On a monthly plan, the migration is quoted.
- It covers up to 2 hours of our work. We may stop free work sooner, at our discretion. Anything past that is quoted at $150 an hour, and you approve it before we continue.
- From cPanel: one full cPanel account backup (the backup file, or your cPanel login so we can make it). We restore the whole account, with every site, database and mailbox in it, up to 10 GB.
- From anywhere else, including Plesk, WordPress and other hosts: one website, moved to our matching hosting. Each additional website is $150, paid before we start.
- For a source that is not cPanel, send a file archive and an SQL database dump for each site. We do not accept raw database files or partial archives.
- Email moves only inside a full cPanel backup. We do not import mail from other providers.
- The site must run PHP 7 or newer on a current MySQL or MariaDB.
- Migrated data counts toward your plan’s disk space. If it does not fit, upgrade the plan first.
- The free migration starts once your hosting order is paid. Before that, we answer questions and review your sites, but we do not move them.
What a migration is not
- A migration is a copy. It does not include recovering sites from broken backups or archives, rebuilding a site for a new platform, fixing code, content or design changes, or ongoing management.
- Your domains, DNS and email records stay yours to manage. We tell you once which records to change. We do not log in to your registrar, DNS provider or old host to make changes for you.
- Work outside a migration is quoted at the rates of idig.net, our parent brand: $150 an hour during desk hours, with a 1-hour minimum. You approve the quote before we start.
Legacy and broken sites
- We do not move legacy sites. A site on PHP 5 or MySQL 5 must be upgraded first, through idig.net site repair and rescue.
- A migration copies your site as it is. If the site is broken before the move, or breaks after it, it stays broken.
- We can review a repair and quote it at idig.net rates. If the fix is easy, we may do it for free, but there is no guarantee.
Scope
- Before we start, we agree in writing on the list of sites we will move. That list is the scope.
- A new site, a new task or a change of plan is a new request, with its own quote. We may pause until it is paid.
- Only a written quote changes these terms. Nothing said in chat, by phone or by email does.
We can say no, or stop
- We can refuse any migration that does not meet our standards. That includes legacy software, hacked or infected sites, and content our Terms of Service do not allow.
- If you still want to move a refused site, it is evaluated first under the idig.net site repair and recovery terms.
- We can stop a migration in progress if the scope grows past what we agreed, or if requests become unreasonable. If we stop, you can download a backup of your account for 14 days.
Working together
- Each migration runs in one support ticket. Please keep every request in that ticket.
- Name one contact person for the migration.
- Every migration is best effort. We do not guarantee the result or a finish date. We give you an estimate once we have access to your site.
Before you start
- Keep your old hosting active until you have checked your site with us. Do not cancel it first.
- Keep your own backup. We copy your site and never delete anything at your old host.
- When the copy is ready, you change your DNS to point your domain at us.
- Paid plugins, themes or software licensed to a domain or server may need re-activating. That is between you and the vendor.
- If your old host is slow or blocks our access, the move can take longer or fail.
